TECHNOLOGY DESCRIPTION

Objects may be curved or deform when forces are applied to them, as in the case of for example a footfall when kicked. As a result of the curvature and the deformation, non-normal components of force arise between the foot and the football. Conventional force plates only measure normal forces.
This technology is a system and method of simultaneously measuring the dynamic magnitude and direction of three components of force.

BENEFITS

Full vectorial force measurement
Shear measurement
Dynamic measurement

Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) are a method of estimating technology maturity of Critical Technology Elements (CTE) of a program during the acquisition process. The use of TRLs enables consistent, uniform, discussions of technical maturity across different types of technology.
